So what should the ideal mattress offer?
Perfect relaxation can only be achieved when the mattress is properly designed to react to different pressure points of the body. Various physical zones must be differentiated and work with the mattress to correctly support the spinal column.

Conventional mattresses are generally too hard or too soft, forcing the body’s muscular system into long periods of tenseness in the futile hope of finding a natural rest position. LATEX: SUPPORT BODY

The Nottinblù Latex mattress has a support body made of latex with differentiated support zones according to the various parts of the body to guarantee a natural and relaxing rest. The latex block used by Nottinblú is ergonomic and self-modeling and adapts itself to the form of the person lying on it. It works in synergy with the support function exerted by the mattress support and leads to a correct position of the spinal column.

It is constructed of material that is intrinsically bactericidal and does not produce either dust or mold, making it wonderfully suitable for asthma and allergy sufferers. A dense network of aeration channels pump air each time the body moves, giving the latex mattress good transpiration. The natural resistance and innumerable air microcells in the structure make it elastic, not too rigid or soft, and it is able to maintain its original characteristics over a long period of time.

Unlike other latex mattresses which have been vulcanized in heat-induction ovens, Nottinblú uses latex that is vulcanized in microwave ovens. This technique, which transmits the heat in a very uniform way, is the only one which guarantees homogenous vulcanization of the whole block. The problems associated with too much or too little baking (vulcanization) are eliminated in order to avoid future complications, such as the loss of elasticity or capacity, the lack of these properties being constant, stagnation of humidity and deterioration of the product. The latex block vulcanized with the microwave system is also easier to remove from the mold, without resorting to additives which are commonly used with traditional molds.

The Wavelatex Mattress is made from latex vulcanized in a microwave oven and contains 7 differentiated support zones. This technology, which transmits the heat uniformly, guarantees that the whole block is evenly vulcanized to guarantee homogenous elasticity and support over a long period of time. The special honeycomb structure offers optimum support and exchange of air.

MADE-TO-MEASURE MATTRESSES

IMPRONTA

The Impronta is a made-to-measure mattress personalized to fit each individual. Different factors such as the shape of the body and the customary sleeping position are two main elements taken into consideration when creating the Impronta mattresses. The custom design enhances the quality of sleep and, as a result, the quality of life.

Impronta is molded around the body, thanks to the sleep “photograph” created from Ergotest* information gathered by Esperides and analyzed by our sleep experts. The resulting data guides the shaping phase for the nucleus of the mattress, resulting in 23 transversal channels with various diameters that are proportional to the body’s weight.

*Ergotest is an exclusive, patented system designed by Nottinblù.

IMPRONTA: THE ERGOTEST SYSTEM

The shape and build of the body and the different customary sleep positions (whether on the back, the stomach or the side) determine a wide variety of weight distribution when a person is lying down.

Ergotest traces the weight distribution, dimensions and shape of a person while lying down and turns this data into a “photograph” for future reference in creating the perfect mattress for the healthiest and deepest night’s sleep. The image of the pressure exerted by various parts of the body (shoulders, pelvis, sides, etc.) is transformed into a data sheet that is analyzed by our sleep experts and then used to create a custom mattress that keeps the various support zones balanced according to the different pressures exerted by the body.

IMPRONTA: WHY ERGOTEST

The spinal column, when conformed correctly, is ideal for such functions as movement and the correct distribution of the weight it has to support. But it is also particularly vulnerable to misalignment, thanks to poor posture. This leads to complaints such as arthrosis in the neck and lumbar area, lumbar pains, slipped discs, kyphosis and scoliosis.

A mattress design that alleviates and even corrects the ill effects of modern living and poor posture on the spine, then, is essential for good rest and great health. The Esperides Impronta bed system prevents and even helps correct poor posture of the spinal column, allowing it to conform to the correct position while lying down, just as the body needs when it is upright.

Layers of well-being

NoWeight differs from other mattresses in that it is formed in a special mold rather than cut from a block or assembled together. No glues are used; instead, the two layers are heat-welded.
